No - if an effort does not align with your organization’s priorities and goals, you are not required to sign on.
What is required to become a coalition member?
Currently, the only requirement of membership is to attend the quarterly meetings but there are other ways that you can get involved like serving on the Executive Committee, donating funds to support the work, providing space for meetings, donating staff time, and participating in advocacy efforts.
Do I need to pay any dues to be a coalition member?
No. But we do rely on member donations to keep Austin Outside running. If you have some discretionary funds to donate to AO, we appreciate your support. If you don’t have the funds to donate to AO, we appreciate the time and talent that you share with our coalition.
